This is the calm and soothing branch of our nervous system. Fight or flight activity stems from the sympathetic system. When we deep breath in Yoga poses, meditation, mantras, mudras, chanting, etc., we tone the vagus nerve (parasympathetic nervous system) and create a lifestyle habit of walking our world in peace.
